Is GlossGenius charting HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Eligible businesses can sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) so their account meets HIPAA requirements for storing and handling protected health information (PHI). All client records, photos, and clinical notes are encrypted at rest and in transit.
Does charting cost extra with GlossGenius?
No. Charting — including photo markup, SOAP notes, product tracking, and medical director sign-off — is included with GlossGenius Medspa plans. No add-on fees, no per-provider upcharges.
Can I route charts to my medical director for sign-off?
Yes. After completing a chart, you can route it directly to your medical director for review and digital sign-off — with a full audit trail maintained in the platform. Your medical director can review and approve from any device.
What documentation can I capture per visit?
For each visit, you can capture before-and-after photos with markup and annotation, SOAP notes, and product details including lot number, units used, and expiration date. Everything is stored to the client's chart alongside their booking history, memberships, and packages.
