The GlossGenius Community Program is a network of beauty and wellness professionals that offer expertise, empathy, and encouragement to help each other grow our skills and businesses. We are building legacies, amplifying voices, and changing the industry.

The GlossGenius Community Program offers:

Fun, motivating, nurturing community member experience from the get-go
Members Only Community Events built to host intimate conversations around education and paths to success
Private community forums for building relationships and sharing your feedback
A diverse and talented network of beauty and wellness professionals that offer expertise, empathy, and encouragement to help each other grow our skills and businesses
And more unique opportunities to be involved and make an impact!

In order to participate in our GlossGenius Community Program, there are certain community guidelines and expectations set forth below that we require all members to adhere to while engaging with other professionals in the Community (the “Community Guidelines”). These Community Guidelines incorporate, and Community Members’ use of GlossGenius’s website, services and applications shall be strictly governed by, GlossGenius’s Terms of Service, available at glossgenius.com/terms (“Terms of Service”) and GlossGenius’s Referral Program Policy, available at glossgenius.com/referral-policy (“Referral Terms”).

How do I become eligible?

To be eligible to participate in the GlossGenius Community Program, you must (1) be a GlossGenius paying member, (2) accept and agree to be bound by these Community Guidelines, and (3) represent and warrant to GlossGenius that you are 18 years of age or older.

What does it mean to be a GlossGenius Community Member?

While all of our GlossGenius customers are automatically members of the GlossGenius community, members who want to get more involved may be eligible to join our GlossGenius Community Program as an Insider, Ambassador, or Educator.

There are three community partner types: Insider, Ambassador, and Educator (each a “Community Member”). Your eligibility to qualify for one of these partner types is based on your level of engagement as a GlossGenius user. GlossGenius reserves the right to accept Community Members into any partner type in its sole discretion. To the extent Community Member provides any services to GlossGenius, such Community Member shall act as an independent contractor and shall not bind nor attempt to bind GlossGenius to any contract.

Our Community Principles

As a Community Member, you acknowledge and agree that you will adhere to the following guidelines and expectations:

Community over competition. Help support the GlossGenius Community Members by maintaining an inclusive and encouraging space. Share your expertise to help fellow beauty pros succeed in the industry. Help others feel connected and inspired when you participate in a thread in the Community Forum Space (e.g. Slack or Instagram) or add an encouraging comment on a #GlossGeniusCommunity post. We want you to feel supported as you take charge in your business - fostering the most authentic conversations, highlighting what makes you unique, and creating space for diversity, equity, and accessibility.

Be respectful and responsible. The GlossGenius Community is a place where you can ask questions, seek business advice and learn from the wisdom of your peers. Our Community Events and Forum Spaces are shared spaces of connection and learning. We ask that you speak from your own experience, practice good intent, and use practical judgment when posting and/or interacting with others.

Co-Create with us. Join us in co-creating a product that reflects you – your uniqueness, your identity, and your expertise. Participate in special opportunities exclusively for GlossGenius Community Members to influence product change and development so we can keep building GlossGenius features and functionalities just for you!

The fine print:

Ownership and Usage Rights.

As you engage with the GlossGenius Community Slack channel and private Instagram account, please note that all information shared in these channels is confidential and you do not have the right to copy or redistribute any GlossGenius Community challenges, feature releases, or private content outside our forum spaces.
GlossGenius may provide you with name(s), trademark(s), logo(s), materials, photographs, video, products and content (collectively, the “Company Materials”). GlossGenius is, and will remain, the sole and exclusive owner of all right, title and interest in and to such Company Materials and all derivative works thereof. Community Member may solely use such Company Materials as directed by GlossGenius.
GlossGenius will have the right to use Community Member’s name, voice, image, and likeness on GlossGenius’s website and other such GlossGenius branded social media endeavors and otherwise for marketing and promotional purposes and Community Member waives any right to inspect or approve the intermediary or finished version(s) of the results of such use.
As you engage with the GlossGenius Community Program, including by providing feedback, comments, and suggestions (“Comments”) on the product, please note that you are giving GlossGenius full rights (irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable) and license to use and distribute such Comments and without any compensation to you.

If you post artwork or photographs or other content owned by third parties on social media or otherwise in connection with the GlossGenius Community Program, you represent and warrant to GlossGenius that you have all required rights and consents to use such content.

Confidentiality. Community Member understands that GlossGenius has disclosed or may disclose certain nonpublic business, technical or financial information relating to GlossGenius’s business, including but not limited to GlossGenius’s products, business or operations (“Proprietary Information”). The Community Member agrees: (i) to take reasonable precautions to protect such Proprietary Information, and (ii) not to use (except as expressly permitted herein) or divulge to any third person any such Proprietary Information. Upon request, Community Member will promptly return or destroy all items and copies containing or embodying Proprietary Information.

Reservation of Rights. GlossGenius reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to (a) modify, amend, or terminate at any time the GlossGenius Community Program and these Community Guidelines; and (b) disqualify any Community Member at any time from participation for any reason, including if she/he does not comply with these Community Guidelines. GlossGenius’s failure to enforce any term of these Community Guidelines shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
